Structure and Layout
- Check or edit the reading order by going to the Review tab > Check Accessibility. In the Warnings section, select the Check reading order category.
- Verify any used built-in slide layouts have a high enough color contrast.
- Give each slide a title that describes the content.
- Don’t rely on speaker notes or comments for important information.
Transitions and Animations
- Keep slide slide transitions simple.
- Keep slide animations simple.
- Avoid flashing or blinking content.
Images and Objects
- Add alt text to images and objects.
- Add alt text to the description field of the alt text dialog.
- Add alt text for linked and embedded files.
- Avoid using tables.
Check Accessibility
- Use the built-in Tools > Accessibility checker.
- Keep in mind that the accessibility checker is not perfect. Use your own judgment to ensure that your document is accessible.
